What is the difference between "Incentive" and "Training
and Development" programs?
Incentive programs give your company the chance to enhance corporate
meetings or reward employees with the U.S. Space Camp or Aviation Challenge
backdrop. Training and Development programs are designed specifically
to address specific organizational learning objectives. Our facilitators
will pre-assess training needs prior to arrival and tailor a curriculum
specifically for company needs.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
How many people can I bring?
Program capacities vary depending on experience selected. Recommended
single team size for Space Camp is 12-16, with a maximum of 4 teams
(64 people) participating simultaneously. For Aviation Challenge
capacity ranges from 8-40 people participating simultaneously.
Additional activities may be selected for increased program participation
(with varying capacities): land survival, water survival and our AREA 51
Leadership Reaction Course.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
How much does it cost?
All costs are based on the cooperative assessment of your organization's
needs. Program costs include all materials necessary to complete the
program and most on-site catered meals. Incentive programs range from
$495-$995 per person for a standard 1 or 2 day program. Training programs
vary depending on number of participants, length of program and options
selected.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
Isn't Space Camp just for kids?
Based on the highly acclaimed SPACE CAMP program, our corporate
experiences are specifically designed for adults. Participation includes
a simulated Space Shuttle mission(s) and astronaut training simulators,
however, the curriculum is professionally oriented and the training programs
are geared toward leadership development learning.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
Is the "Area 51" course physically challenging?
Not particularly. Specifically on the Low Course, some of the exercises require
more physical ability than others, but as a rule, your goals cannot be reached
without teamwork and trust. Activities are designed to test mental stamina rather
than physical strength and everyone must work collectively to complete each task.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
Do you have to have any previous flight training
experience?
Not at all! For AVIATION CHALLENGE, your instructors will teach you
everything you need to know to accomplish your missions.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
Do you accommodate special dietary requests?
Yes. We make every effort to accommodate special requests with alternative
choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just tell us before your arrival
and our catering staff can make sure that their needs are taken care
of.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
Do the program prices include transportation
to and from the airport? Yes. We can transport you by bus from the
airport to your hotel and back. We will also
provide you with transportation from your hotel to our
facility throughout your stay with us.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What if I want to cancel my reservation?
In order to book a Corporate SPACE ACADEMY or Corporate AVIATION CHALLENGE,
we require a signed contract and a deposit of 50% of the total amount due.
If you decide to cancel a session, please notify us in writing within 90
days prior to your session date for a full deposit refund.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What are my options for payment?
We can either send your company an invoice, or you can pay your deposit
or balance by using VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
You may pay by mail with a check or money order.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What do I need to wear to participate?
You will be wearing a flight suit when you participate in our programs,
so it's a good idea to wear something lightweight and comfortable under
your outfit. For outdoor activities, such as Area 51 or Land Survival,
we also recommend participants wear boots or althletic shoes.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
How soon do I need to make a reservation?
We recommend you make your reservation a minimum of 6 months prior to
your desired date. Space is limited during the months of June, July,
and August. If you are interested in a Training and Development experience,
our facilitators need at least two months to conduct the necessary assessments
to tailor a curriculum for your company.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What is included in the base price of the
program?
Most meals, transportation, and all materials necessary to complete
the program are included. Accommodations are not included. Everyone
will receive a certificate of completion and wings during their graduation
ceremony at the end of the program.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What hotel would you recommend for our stay?
There are many lodging facilities in the Huntsville area. The Huntsville
Marriott is the closest, as it is directly adjacent to our facility.
